C ноября 1989 года лейбл The 'Chronological Classics' под руководством месье Жиля Петара (Gilles Petard) - знатока-энтузиаста, ремастировал и переиздавал на CD всю перешедшую в категорию общественного достояния классику джаза и ритм-н-блюза эпохи 78RPM - то есть до появления долгоиграющих пластинок (это конец сороковых - середина пятидесятых годов прошлого века) по пять наименований дисков в месяц в единообразном, но различном по цветовой гамме оформлении и занимался неуклонно все 1990-е и начало 2000-х. Полный каталог их продукции в готовом виде добыть невозможно, практически все выпуски выходили с полиграфической ошибкой: на фасаде буклета вместе 'Chronological' красовалась надпись 'Chronogical'. В 2004 году банкротится оригинальный дистрибутор, нарушается график переизданий, знамя подхватывает компания 'Абей мюзик (Abeille Musique)' и её дистрибутор 'Ноктюрн'; производство и продажа дисков серии возобновляется, но всё более скромными темпами. Через 5 лет дела лейбла перешли в ведение компании 'Плю Луэн (Plus Loin)', в планы которой уже не входит дальнейшее издание выпусков серии.
